Showcasing pieces from artists such as Ruth Asawa, Edith Heath and Sheila Hicks, this exhibition provides a collective platform for female artists from the 1950s and 1960s, investigating how they paved the way for contemporary female artists. The collection spans ceramics, textiles and metals, with an additional focus on modern works by European emigrants such as Anni Albers and Maija Grotell. (212-299-7777; madmuseum.org)
